Ordering

How do I place an order?

Browse our collections at noirtide.com, add your chosen pair to cart, and checkout. No account required. Orders are accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Can I cancel or modify my order?

+

Contact us within 2 days at support@noirtide.com. Once production has started, cancellations or modifications may not be possible as your leather has already been cut.

What happens after I pay?

+

You will receive a personal email from support@noirtide.com asking for your measurements. Please check your spam folder. We do not begin construction until your measurements are confirmed.

What currencies and payment methods do you accept?

+

All major cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, plus PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and iDEAL. Prices are in EUR. Your bank or PayPal will convert at the current rate if paying in another currency.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All transactions are processed through Shopify Payments — PCI DSS Level 1 compliant, the highest level of payment security. We never see or store your card details.

Fit & Measurements

Why do you need my measurements?

Every pair is built around your anatomy, not a standard factory last. We send precise measurement instructions after your order is placed. We recommend having someone help you for accuracy.

How do I measure my foot?

+

Place paper on the floor against a wall. Stand with heel touching the wall. Mark the tip of your longest toe. Measure from wall to mark. Add 3-5mm for comfort. Compare with our size chart.

What if I am between sizes?

+

Order your usual size. We collect your detailed measurements after checkout and build to those exact dimensions — your standard size is just a starting reference, not the final specification.

I have wide or narrow feet. Can you accommodate this?

Yes — this is one of the core advantages of bespoke footwear. We ask for your foot width alongside your length. There is no extra charge for wide or narrow fittings. Every pair is built to your exact dimensions.

Do you make boots for women?

Yes. Our products are listed in men's sizing for reference, but we build for all feet. Contact us before ordering if you need women's sizing and we will guide you through the process.

Customisation

Can I customise any design on your website?

Yes. Leather colour, sole type, shaft height, heel height, hardware finish, stitching colour — most elements are negotiable. Select Customise This Design on any product page, or leave a note at checkout.

Can I send my own design or reference image?

Absolutely. Use our Custom Design Form to share references — a film still, concept art, a game screenshot, a historical photograph. The more detail you provide, the better the result.

Is customisation charged extra?

+

Standard options such as colour, hardware, and sole type are included at no extra charge. Commissions involving significant structural changes will be quoted individually before production begins.

Can I request historically accurate reproductions?

+

Yes, this is a speciality of ours. We research primary sources, museum references, and period-accurate construction techniques. Share your references and we will advise on accuracy and feasibility.

Do you offer vegan leather options?

Yes. We work with high-quality vegan leather on request. Please note it will not develop the same patina as full-grain bovine leather. Contact us to discuss options before ordering.

Production & Shipping

How long does production take?

+

1 to 2 weeks from the date your measurements are confirmed. Each pair is built entirely by hand — 40 or more hours of construction. We do not rush this process. Quality over speed, every time.

Where are the boots made and shipped from?

+

Handcrafted in our workshop in Sialkot, Pakistan — one of the world's great leather craft cities. Every pair ships directly from our workshop to your door. No warehouse, no middleman.

How long does shipping take after dispatch?

+

4 to 7 days within Europe. 8 to 12 days worldwide. You will receive a tracking number on the day your pair is dispatched.

Are duties and customs charges included?

+

Yes. Duties and customs charges are included on all orders over 250 EUR. No surprise charges on delivery. For orders under this amount, contact us if you are unsure about import duties in your country.

Can I get a faster turnaround for an event or convention?

+

We may accommodate rush orders depending on current production volume. Contact us at support@noirtide.com with your event date as early as possible. Rush requests are handled case-by-case and may carry a surcharge.

Materials & Care

What leather do you use?

+

Full-grain bovine calf leather from heritage tanneries — the same grade used by traditional European shoemakers. It develops a unique patina with wear and lasts far longer than corrected or bonded alternatives.

Are your boots resoleable?

+

Yes. Our construction allows the sole to be replaced by any competent cobbler. This is by design. A well-cared-for pair should outlast multiple resolings and remain wearable for decades.

How do I care for my leather boots?

+

Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth after wear. Apply a quality leather conditioner every 2 to 3 months. Use matching leather cream or wax to restore shine. If soaked, stuff with newspaper and dry slowly away from heat. Store in a cool dry place.

Are the boots suitable for active re-enactment or outdoor use?

Yes. Our construction is designed for genuine wear, not display. Many of our historical reproduction pairs are bought specifically for re-enactment. If your use is especially demanding, let us know when ordering and we will spec the construction accordingly.

Returns & Warranty

What is your return policy?

Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. Because every pair is made to your measurements, we handle issues as exchanges or remakes. If there is a quality or fit issue, we will resolve it. See our full Returns Policy for details.

What if my boots do not fit correctly?

+

We stand behind our fit. If the boots do not fit according to the measurements you provided, we will correct them at no charge. If the error was on our side, we will remake them. Contact support@noirtide.com with photos within 14 days.

Do you work with film, theatre, or costume departments?

Yes. We have experience with productions requiring multiple pairs, screen-accurate designs, or tight deadlines. Contact us directly to discuss trade pricing and production scheduling.

Do you offer wholesale or bulk ordering?

Yes. We welcome wholesale inquiries for retail stocking, corporate gifting, and event orders. Email support@noirtide.com with your requirements for a tailored quote.

Are my personal measurements kept private?

+

Yes. Your measurements are used solely to construct your order and are never shared with third parties. They are stored securely and may be retained for future orders — so if you order again, we already have your measurements on file.
